If you're like me, your cell phone line has become your lifeline. Texting, email, surfing, calling , I do it all from my handy handheld. But my bill lately has been much higher than I'd like it to be. That's what prompted me to start looking into other options. I narrowed it down to T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint Wireless.
I've heard a lot about Sprint from my friends. My buddy John has had Sprint service for years, and swears by it. His bill is a whole lot lower than mine, yet when we're out together he checks his email, surfs the web, all of that, on Sprint Wireless. So I guess it was jealousy that motivated me!
I wanted to see how Sprint compares to the other plans on the market, so I did a little digging. It doesn't take much to find the satisfied Sprint customers, though. I found people on all kinds of forums recommending the carrier. But what is the dollars-and-cents difference between Sprint Wireless and other programs?
My first stop: the websites of Sprint, AT&T, and all the others. The AT&T plan I have now has great coverage, but it's super expensive. Because my husband and I have 2 phones on a family plan, we were paying almost $200 a month. And that's just for the phone , it includes very little data or texting. It wasn't hard to see how superior the pricing is. That's what got me to make the switch. Of course, I was nervous about whether the Sprint service and coverage would be up to par.
Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. I thought I had great coverage before, but Sprint Wireless seems to work everywhere , even in places where my old phone wouldn't. And when I have questions about my Sprint service plan or my phone, I can just call up the incredibly helpful customer service department, or walk into any Sprint store, where they've treated me very well. It's great!
So the long and the short of it is this: I made the change to Sprint, and I'm glad I did. The price is right, and so is the coverage. I estimate I'll save over $475 this year by being on the Sprint service! So if you're thinking about making a switch, come on over to Sprint Wireless.
